Once a device is created in Versa Director, an appliance must be deployed onsite, and the appliance needs to be linked to or associated with the device configuration in Versa Director. The device onboarding process is the process of bringing an appliance online, authenticating the device with the Versa headend components, and building and retrieving the appliance-specific configuration based on the device description in Versa Director.
