Course Overview

The Versa Networks Onboarding Specialist (VOBS) is a self-paced, online-delivered course that provides information on the different SD-WAN Topologies, Templates that are there in the Versa SD-WAN platform and the different Zero Touch Provisioning (ZTP) methods that can be used to activate a device. The course teaches about the different types of sites which could be there in a typical deployment, and how to gather information and configure different templates available in Versa SD-WAN, create Device Groups, Devices and then builds on these concepts to describe the ZTP methods. It also teaches about various service activation checks that can be done to verify successful activation of the VOS appliance.

The course content is presented in step-by-step video format that resembles and instructor-led course, with voice-over narration of the concepts in the course.

Lab exercises

The labs in this course provide hands-on instruction in the use of Versa Director for configuration of different SD-WAN topologies, onboarding devices, creating Service Templates, and attaching them to Device Template. The lab can also be used to verify service activation checks, and use the inbuilt utilities to check reachability, traceroute and bandwidth available in the SD-WAN network.

Lab guides and lab demonstration available in the course but Lab access to be subscribed separately. Applicable Lab V-VLAB1

Course Prerequisites

  • Understanding of TCP/IP networking
  • Understanding of Versa SD-WAN components and their construct
  • Basic understanding of tunnelling (IPsec/MPLS) tunnelling concepts

Additionally, it is recommended that participants complete the Versa Essentials online training course, although this is not required.
